HemoMex I™ Dammarane Sapogenins Injection
Medicinal Ingredient: 2000mg/100ml Dammarane Sapogenins GCP compliance clinical trials conducted at European Georgia National Cancer Centre (one of the 5 largest National Cancer Centres in former Soviet Union) indicated that overall efficacy and safety of HemoMex I™ Dammarane Sapogenins Injection, a Selective Metabolites Compound Drug (SMCD)-based innovative new drug, in myelosuppression recovery for cancer patients. On November 17, 2008, HemoMex I™ Dammarane Sapogenins Injection was approved by the Agency of State Regulation of Medical Activity of the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia as a prescription drug for cancer therapy regimens, which indicated for solid tumors and can be used in combination with chemotherapeutic agents and/or radiotherapy for solid tumors, and used for the treatment of neutropenia complicated to chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. To date, common used drugs for post-chemotherapy bone marrow recovery (for neutropenia associated with cancer patients receiving myelosuppressive chemotherapy) are mainly the family of medications known as Recombinant Human Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor (rhG-CSF). Unfortunately, the rhG-CSF biologics remain several disadvantages, for example, toxic and side effects issues, typical patient conditions applied, simple action that primarily stimulates neutrophils only but no disease progression demonstrated. Most importantly, simultaneous use of rhG-CSF biologics with chemotherapy and radiation therapy should be avoided (there is a potential complication of excessive leukocytosis when rhG-CSF administered with normal white blood cell counts). Clinical trials conducted at Georgia National Cancer Centre indicated that overall efficacy of HemoMex I™ Injection, Dammarane Sapogenins as active ingredients derived from botanical small molecule, in myelosuppression recovery for cancer patients is better than rhG-CSF biosimilar with longer lasting action and minor toxic and side effects as well as a great range of patient’s conditions included with an improved response, not to say a competitive prescription price. Most importantly, HemoMex I™ exerts broad spectrum of immuno-modulation properties and turns out to be a common myelosuppression protection agent used in patients receiving concurrent chemotherapy. Pharmacopoeia Committee, Public Health Ministry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, one powerful country of Central Asia, has issued a new drug approval for HemoMex™ Dammarane Sapogenins (Ginseng Sapogenins) Injection on May 7, 2010. HemoMex™ Dammarane Sapogenins Injection was approved as a prescription drug for cancer therapy regimens, which can be used in combination with chemotherapeutic agents and/or radiotherapy for solid tumors, and used for the treatment of neutropenia complicated to chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. The drug is listed in the National Healthcare Insurance Scheme Drug Formulary. Georgia Drug Certificate:No.R-001176 Uzbekistan Drug Certificate:Б-250-95 № 16410 |
