- Pegasus Pharmaceuticals Group finished the clinical trial of "Inhibitor of Bone Marrow Suppression after Chemotherapy" at the National Oncology Center of Republic of Georgia. This clinical trial was conducted in strict accordance with the internationally accepted principles of GCP. Results showed that PandiMex®'s effect on increasing the White Blood Cell (WBC) count in cancer patients is better than G-CSF drug which is being used internationally in mainstream conventional treatment.
- Pegasus launched four clinical trials in the Republic of Georgia. Two products in the Careseng® series, Bioseng® #1 and Careseng® MK have been approved by the Ministry of Health as prescription drugs and started sales in two major hospitals of the Republic of Georgia.
- Pegasus was invited to the Oncology conference of the Caucasus Region held at Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia and was the largest sponsor of the conference. Vice President of the National Oncology Center, the Republic of Georgia had presented the preliminary clinical report on PandiMex® with numerous cases to prove its effectiveness in cancer treatment.
- The novel anti-HIV drug candidate developed by Pegasus has been studied in the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, and once again been proven for its effectiveness against the HIV virus.
- September 5 and 17: Five delegates from the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People's Republic of China, including the Deputy Director Mr. Wenming YU and Mr. Zhiren Xu, head of the Medical Administrative Department, visited the lab of Pegasus Pharmaceuticals Group Inc. and had in-depth discussions with Pegasus' scientists on modernization and globalization of Chinese medicine. Both parties signed an international agreement for a collaborative clinical study of Pegasus' NDCR therapy.
- With years of research and clinical study, Pegasus developed a systemic bio-medicine based anti-cancer therapy, the NDCR Therapy. NDCR therapy helps prevent organ/tissue injury from chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, sensitize tumors to chemotherapeutic drugs, and improve the quality of life of patients
- Within this year, Health Canada has granted product licenses for over ten products in the Careseng® series, including Careseng® SG, SG2, AllerQ, Bioseng® #1, G-seng Power+, RH, BFG, SG-40, PRV, PandiMex®.
- Patent Application serial no. 02750733.4, "Novel Dammarane Sapogenins, Their Use as Anti-cancer Agents, and a Process for Producing Same" has been granted Patent No. 1414843 from the European Patent Office with which is valid in Germany, France, and United Kingdom.
- Patent Application no. 200301269-7, "Novel Dammarane Sapogenins, Their Use as Anti-cancer Agents, and a Process for Producing Same" has been granted by the Singapore Patent Office with Patent No. 95428.
- Shanghai Tian-Bo Biosciences Inc. has filed a US patent for "Method, Formulation and Use thereof for Improved Oral Absorption of Pharmaceuticals or Nutrients" (11/875047), and at the same time filed patents in Japan and the European Union.
- The scientific research paper of "Anti-estrogenic Effect of 20S-Protopanaxadiol and its Synergy with Tamoxifen on Breast Cancer Cells" was published in the "Cancer" magazine, USA (Cancer 2007, 109: 2374-82).
- The scientific research paper of "20S-Protopanaxadiol-Induced Programmed Cell Death in Glioma Cells through Caspase-Dependent and –Independent Pathways" was published in the Journal of Natural Products, USA (J. Nat. Pro. 2007, 70, 259-264).
