Year 2002

  • Pegasus Pharmaceuticals Group Inc. ("Pegasus") collaborated with the University of California at Los Angeles, California, USA in the Phase I/II clinical study of Careseng® products.  The Division of Oncology Drug Products of U.S. FDA had determined this study is exempted from regular IND requirement.
  • Careseng® oral solution is launched into market.
  • In order to overcome the problem of low oral bioavailability of ginseng Saponins and Sapogenins, Pegasus established the Oral Bioavailability Enhancement Technology platform.
  • Under the name of the inventor as well as the company founder, Mr. Winter Huang, Pegasus applied patents for "Saponins and Sapogenins for use in Combination Therapy for Cancer" in Canada (CA2,431,806) and the United States (60/435035).
  • A research paper on "Initial Formal Clinical Studies With the Ginseng Extract Careseng®" is published at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
